Deputies said the woman tampered with sensors to get boots and clothing out of a local department store before the Black Friday markdowns.
Officials at the Pitt County Detention Center said 37-year-old Vera McLean was arrested at 11:15PM on Wednesday night for multiple felony counts of larceny. Officials told WITN McLean tried stealing boots and clothing, among other items, at a local Kohl's Department Store.
McLean has been charged with three felony counts of larceny from a merchant and misdemeanor charge of shoplifting, concealment of goods. Her bond was set at $50,000 secured.
