An event is scheduled tonight to honor victims of any homicide in Pitt County. Citizens United Against Violence hosts the event monthly, and this month's event comes just days after three people were murdered at a Farmville convenience store. Two others were killed in a double murder in Greenville last week.
The 32nd monthly Candle Light Vigil will take place at the Pitt County Courthouse, 100 West 3rd Street in Greenville, Thursday at 7 p.m. Citizens United Against Violence says their vision is a safer, violence-free Greenville/Pitt County.
The group advises to look inside the Courthouse foyer if there is inclement weather.
