Winterville Police said part of Highway 11 was closed for nearly an hour Friday morning after a two-car wreck.
Police told WITN the wreck was along Highway 11 near Reedy Branch Road around 6:25 Friday morning.
Investigators said a west-bound car seemingly pulled out in front of a north-bound vehicle.
Police say 59-year-old Edna Smith of Greenville has been cited for an unsafe movement violation.
We know the drivers of both vehicles were taken to Vidant Medical Center. Officers said neither appeared to have life-threatening injuries and were both alert and talking after the wreck.
Crews had to close the south-bound lane to traffic, and restrict the north-bound side to one lane until about 7:20 a.m. Friday as they cleaned up the site.
