The Triple murders in Farmville are drawing international interest because Pitt County Sheriff Neil Elks says the three murder victims were U.S. citizens, but of Yemeni descent.
The Vice Consul for the Republic of Yemen was in Greenville Thursday to meet with the victims' family members and thank the Pitt County Sheriff's Office and the Farmville Police department for their hard work.
Elks says the Vice Consul is very interested in learning about the case, and wants to stay updated with its progress
Elks says word about this case has spread across the country and abroad, which he says is one of the reasons he thinks the Vice Consul is so interested in learning about it.
