Drivers in Pitt County should be aware of an upcoming construction project that will close a portion of Highway 11.
The DOT says the resurfacing of Highway 11 is scheduled to begin Saturday. The resurfacing will be from the end of Tar River Bridge past U.S. 13 (Dickinson Avenue).
The DOT plans to close one lane of NC 11. According to their website, crews will work on the project over the weekend, then resume work next Saturday.
The construction is scheduled to end on July 22, according to the DOT.
