Roads already crowded with people heading home from work in Greenville will be extra congested with thousands of fans headed to watch the Pirates play in a 7:30 p.m. game Thursday. Some roads and parking lots will be closed.

Police are closing 14th St. from Charles Blvd. to Elm Street, and the College Hill Drive entrance at 10th St. at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Police are encouraging drivers to get creative with their commute. For instance, people who normally used Greenville Blvd. should try going down Red Banks Rd.

Beginning at 3:30 p.m, the following university parking lots will close:
-Curry Court resident remote lot
-Minges Commuter Lots
-Belk Building lots along Charles Street
-B1 lot at the bottom of College Hill
-Along 10th Street, the spaces in front of the Christenbury Gym
-Brewster Building and Fletcher Music Center.

Cars will be towed from those lots at no cost to the driver after 3:30 p.m.

Parking lots will open to tailgaters at 4 p.m.
