A two vehicle accident on Greenville Boulevard, near Eastbrook Drive, partially shut down the busy street this afternoon.
Greenville police say the accident happened around 3:10 p.m. and one person was sent to the hospital.
Police tell us a SUV had the green light on Greenville Boulevard, and a car coming out from Eastbrook ran the red light. The two vehicles collided and the car's driver was sent to Vidant Medical Center.
Southbound traffic on Greenville Boulevard was blocked for about an hour with motorists re-routed through Colonial Heights subdivision.
Police say charges are pending against the driver of the car.
