The Teacher of the Week for Wednesday, November 27, 2013 is Lori Moore.

Moore has been teaching kindergarten at H.B. Sugg Elementary School in Farmville for nine years.

She graduated from ECU with Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and completed her K-6 Elementary Teaching Licensure in 2007.

She also obtained her Master in Arts Education Reading degree from ECU in May 2011.

Lori writes: “My favorite quote says 'Find something you love to do, and you’ll never work a day in your life.' I am truly blessed to love my job and to work with an amazing group of colleagues and administrators who strive daily to do what is best for our students.”

The person who nominated Lori wrote: “Lori always goes above and beyond to get the job done. She buys supplies for her class. She plans during the summer for next year’s class. She works 10 – 11 hours at school and goes home to finish up for the day, two more hours. Lori has been a mentor for new teachers graduating from ECU. Lori would be a great selection for Teacher of the Week.”
