GREENVILLE, N.C. – Due to widespread inclement weather in the area, East Carolina softball’s home series finale against Southern Miss Sunday has been cancelled.
The Pirates (21-25, 7-10 C-USA) were going to try for their second three-game C-USA series sweep of the season Sunday against the Golden Eagles (12-26, 4-13 C-USA). ECU has won five-straight contests and three consecutive in league play.
East Carolina has nearly a full week off before hosting Marshall (27-18, 11-7 C-USA) next weekend. The teams play a 1:00 p.m. Saturday doubleheader and complete the set Sunday at 12:00 p.m. The series finale will also serve as the Pirates’ Senior Day, honoring Suzanne Riggs and Priscilla Velasquez.
