Some roads are still struggling after five inches of rain fell in Pitt County Wednesday night.
Mills Road is closed near Blackjack-Simpson Road and will probably remain closed until June 1. The road collapsed after the storms, creating a five-foot wide gap in the road. People with children at Hope Middle School should be aware of the road closure at Mills Road.
The state also says Mobley's Bridge Road near Foster Road will likely be closed until noon Friday. Ervin Buck Road near Highway 43 should also reopen at that time.
