NEW INFO: Missing Pitt County Man Found In Wilson County By Passer By


The Pitt County Sheriff's office said the missing man they had been searching for Thursday night has been found, thanks to a good Samaritan.

Deputies issued a silver alert Thursday for 77-year-old Thomas Jordan.

Investigators said at first, Jordan's vehicle was found parked along the side of the road in Wilson, though he had been heading to Vidant Medical Center.

Deputies said Jordan was disoriented and walking along the side of the road when a good Samaritan picked him up and took him home.

Officials said Jordan is physically in good shape.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man, Thomas Wood Jordan, from Pitt County.

Jordan is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

He is 77-years-old, 5'11" weighing 190 pounds. He has short grey hair and blue eyes.

Jordan was last seen wearing a ball cap, possibly Washington Redskins, a tan coat and blue jeans.

Authorities say Jordan was last seen in Winterville and may have been heading to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

He was last seen in a black 2007 Lexus RX350 with NC license plate number: YXY1227.
