Jury Selection In Ridenour Murder Trial Set For Thursday

Jury selection in the trial of a man accused of shooting his girlfriend and setting her on fire will begin Thursday.

Fifty-seven-year-old Arthur Ridenour claimed 51-year-old Teresea Foster committed suicide in August of 2009 at their Pitt County home.

Authorities said Foster had a single gunshot wound to the head and was on fire when deputies found her body outside her home in Stokes.

Ridenour was formerly certified to work as a police officer in Farmville and at ECU.

After hearing several pre-trial motions Monday afternoon, the judge said jury selection will begin Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
