NEW INFO: Grimesland Power Crews Put 200 Back On The Grid

Power crews said an equipment malfunction cost some Grimesland customers about an hour of turkey cooking time on Thursday morning.

Greenville Utilities dispatchers said they got a report of outages in Grimesland around 7:33 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to repair a malfunctioning piece of equipment.

Officials said power was fully restored to nearly 200 people by 8:45 a.m. Thanksgiving morning.

Dispatchers tell WITN power crews are working to find the source of the problem and fix it quickly.

Power loss is being reported on Foster Road, J C Galloway Road, and Mobley's Bridge Road in Grimesland.

At this time, dispatchers do not know how many people are without service.
