Police: 5 Pounds Of Marijuana Found In Public Housing Apartment

Information that tenants at a public housing complex in Greenville for senior citizens were receiving and selling large quantities of marijuana has led to two arrests.

Greenville Police Housing Authority Officers say that information led them to room 206 of University Towers on Third Street.

Police say a search turned up 5 pounds of marijuana hidden in a cooler in the corner of the kitchen pantry.

Police arrested 68-year-old Willie Perkins and 51-year-old Carolyn Perkins and charged them with several drug offenses.
