A Washington man has been arrested after police say he lifted his shorts and exposed himself to a 12 year old child inside a Greenville PetSmart Saturday.
Police were called to the PetSmart around 5:30 p.m. Witnesses told police they chased the man from the area. He was seen going into several stores attempting to get away. He was last seen by witnesses running into the woods behind Tripp’s Restaurant.
Officers responded and established a perimeter around the shopping center. A police dog searched the area and found 58-year-old Edward Watson of Washington hiding in the woods.
Watson was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure. He was jailed at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond.
