Police say a drunk driving arrest turned into a lot more after officers noticed a semi-automatic handgun partially hidden in the car.
Greenville police have charged Derron Jordan with possession of a firearm by a felon, felony carry a concealed weapon and DWI.
Officers say they noticed a car around 12:20 a.m. driving down Greene Street that crossed over the yellow center line five times. When they stopped the car they saw that Jordan had the gun partially hidden beside him in the car's console. After seizing the weapon, they learned Jordan had prior felony drug and weapons convictions.
He was jailed on a $25,000 bond.
