Hundreds of Pitt County teachers returned to the classroom Tuesday even though classes are still almost two weeks away.
Pitt County Schools kicked off its third annual curriculum summer institute at DH Conley High School.
The program offers teachers a way to get together and share ideas about boosting student achievement across all grade levels.
More than 80 different sessions are planned from through Thursday with education experts from across the country serving as keynote speakers each day.
More than 700 teachers are expected to attend throughout the week.
Classes start August 26th.
