Power crews said a transport truck traveling down Bell's Fork Road likely clipped a power line, and took several lines and the pole down with it.
Greenville Utilities tells WITN at 11:14 Tuesday night, an outage was reported for 250 customers along Bell's Fork Road, near Branches Mobile Home Park.
Officials said they believe a transport truck driver clipped power lines along the road.
The power line, cable and phone lines along with the power pole were taken down, cutting utilities for locals in the area.
GUC said by 12:20 Wednesday morning, all but four customers were back on the grid.
Suddenlink and Century Link crews were also called out to the scene to repair those lines.
GUC said all residents should have power restored by 2 a.m.
No word on any charges for the driver of the truck.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office said they are considering this as a possible hit and run.
