The families and friends of three Pitt County homicide victims are continuing to mourn the loss of their loved ones.
The monthly violence vigil at the Pitt County courthouse Thursday night remembered Hope Cutler, who was stabbed at the Sedgefield Apartments in Greenville and died June 26th, Dontae Haddock, who was shot on June 30th in downtown Greenville, and 3-year old Jesse Adams who was killed in a murder-suicide by his father July 13th. Family members hope similar situations can be prevented in the future.
"This is gonna touch people tonight, and people won't be afraid to say stop or pick up something and throw. Just do something to stop, don't ever just watch," said Hope Cutler's aunt Mary Pierce.
The next Citizens United Against Violence vigil will be held on Thursday September 6th at 7:00 p.m. outside the Pitt County courthouse.
