Pitt County Forum Tonight To Spotlight Local, State Candidates

A forum Sunday night will provide an opportunity to meet Pitt County candidates running for local and state offices.

Pitt County human rights organizations are hosting a candidate forum 6-8 p.m. Sunday night October 14th at New Covenant Community Church on 1212 North Green Street in Greenville.

Ben Johnson helped coordinate the event and he says the following candidates are scheduled to attend: democrat Linda Coleman running for Lieutenant Governor, democrat G.K. Butterfield up for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, democrat Don Davis running unopposed for the District 5 state senate seat, democrat Marion McLawhorn running for the state house, democrat Beth Baker Ward running for county commissioner, and Melvin McLawhorn running unopposed for county commissioner.
