The city of Greenville has teamed up with the Carolina Panthers to create a special football league for the community.
It's called the Exceptional Community Football League. The ECFL offers games of football to children and adults with disabilities.
The Panthers donated over $2,000 dollars which helped to get the program started in the East.
The league is held on Saturday mornings at Jaycee Park in Greenville.
Organizers and volunteers say it's a rewarding program to be a part of. Volunteer Todd Wilson says, "You give about 15 minutes of your time and these kids show so much appreciation. They give back 20 times what I give them.
Organizer Scott Lineberger says, "It's so wonderful for the kids to get an opportunity to come out on Saturday mornings and get great exercise and have a lot of fun and you know its great socially for them to be around their friends and everything it's wonderful."
