A man who pleaded guilty in an Alford plea to child sex crimes has been sentenced.
Don Warren of Pactolus was sentenced Wednesday to serve at least 26 months in jail.
According to Pitt County court officials, Warren plead guilty through an Alford plea to five counts of indecent liberties with a child. An Alford plea means a defendant admits there is enough evidence to find them guilty, but the person doesn't admit to the crime.
Three of the other charges against Warren were dismissed. Warren was arrested back in May of 2011.
