A home health care provider is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from her elderly clients.
Greenville police arrested Shara Green on 20 counts of forgery, seven counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of credit card theft. In one case they say the 29-year-old woman stole a number of checks from the 84-year-old woman and cashed them. The checks totaled $6,800.
Green is also accused in a separate case of stealing another client's debit card and racking up more than $38,000 in transactions. That victim was 83-years-old.
Police say the two cases transpired over a several month period. Detectives used bank records, ATM videos and work records to document the thefts.
Green has bonded out of jail and police say she told them the elderly clients gave her the okay to take the money.
Detectives believe Green was probably involved in other thefts from other victims. Police will not release the name of the company Green worked for.
