A popular cut-through is becoming a traffic mess because of a repaving project.
Greenville police are asking motorists to avoid East 14th Street if possible, between Greenville Boulevard and Fire Tower Road.
Crews are currently repaving the roadway, causing long delays and traffic congestion for drivers.
Police say they don't yet have an expected date when the repaving will be completed, and say they have received numerous complaints from drivers.
They're asking drivers who have to use the street to slow down and pay close attention to all traffic directions from roadway workers.
