Greenville police say they arrested a teenager who they say threatened to kill his aunt and shot at her three times.
Donte Streeter, 16, was arrested Sunday after the shots were fired near 203 East Roundtree Drive in Greenville. Joyce Ward, 43, told police Streeter threatened to kill her and fired a gun at her three times. She was not injured.
Witnesses told police that, as Streeter fled the scene, he stashed the gun near the community center. Police say a police canine found .22 caliber handgun hidden in the bushes near the Moyewood Community Center.
Streeter was arrested a few blocks away from the scene of the shooting, near the intersection of Cadillac Street and West Fifth Street.
Streeter is charged with Assault with A Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Communicating Threats, Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, and Discharging a Weapon in City Limits.
Streeter was jailed under a $1,000,000 secured bond.
