A recently published Greenville Police report shows a man was assaulted in his own home, and now he is also facing charges.
According to a Greenville Police report, 39-year-old Kim Brockhum was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon on 49-year-old James Bryant.
Police told us Brockhum came to Bryant's home on Lindsay Drive around midnight Sunday night, and assaulted him with a knife. Officers said the man grabbed his rifle in defense.
Bryant is now charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction while Brockhum is charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies at the detention center in Pitt County said Bryant made his $10,000 bond before morning, but Brockhum was held overnight on a $7,500 bond.
