Two people are now in custody charged with stuffing stolen shoes in their pants and purse.
Greenville police released a surveillance photo of two people caught in the Kohl's department store Friday, August 24th, stealing tennis shoes.
They identified one of the people in the photo as Shaun Cratch, with an unidentified woman.
On Tuesday, Police say Cratch turned himself in, while Tameka Staton was picked up by authorities.
Both were jailed under a $500 dollar bond.
Authorities say Cratch stuffed Tennis shoes down his pants, while Staton put some in her purse.
The shoes were worth $339.00
Police say a man made off with stolen tennis shoes by stuffing several pairs down his pants.
Greenville police are looking for Shaun Cratch and an unidentified woman seen in surveillance video from Kohl's Department Store. The woman hid her stolen shoes in her purse, according to officers.
It happened last Friday around 1:25 p.m. when $339 worth of tennis shoes were taken from the store. Police say the 33-year-old Cratch is well known to them because of previous arrests and was identified from the surveillance video. They are still working on identifying the woman in the video.
Cratch has prior arrests for larceny, assault on a female, assault with a deadly weapon, selling cocaine, burglary, and driving while license revoked.
