Some scary moments this morning for two young women after a home invasion at their Greenville apartment. It turns out the man only ate some food and drank wine.
Greenville police have charged Derrick Greene with first degree burglary. They say the 22-year-old managed to get into the apartment at Province Apartments through a locked window.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. Four women live in the apartment and two were at home when they heard someone banging on their door and windows, trying to get inside. One of the victims managed to escape through another window, while the other locked herself in a bathroom.
Police say they found Greene in one of the girl's beds, pretending to be asleep. They say it's not believed Greene took anything, but the man did eat some of the leftovers and drank their wine.
Greene is being held on a $500,000 bond.
