It's Dancing with the Stars with a local spin.
Dancing with the P.C.C. Stars kicked off Thursday night at the Greenville Convention Center. All proceeds go toward scholarships for college students.
It's the second annual dancing fundraiser. In 2013, the event raised $30,000 for the P.C.C. Foundation, which in turn gets passed onto students.
Our own Lynnette Taylor was one of three judges for the event. Judges critiqued creativity, technique, and music choice.
P.C.C. Foundation Director Lynne James says a lot of work and time goes into planning the event.
James said, "We have fabulous volunteers and the dancers, I just can't say enough about their willingness to give their time, and the coaches as well. So we're feeling really thrilled to have so many good supporters that are willing to make this possible."
James says each dancing duo puts in close to 20 hours of preparation over several weeks.
