The name of a juvenile charged with the triple murder at a Pitt County convenience store has been released.
The 14-year-old has been identified as Raquan Blount. Earlier this month a Pitt County judge ruled that Blount would be charged as an adult in the case, but authorities would not release the teen's name until the appeal process was completed.
Blount's attorney, Jeff Foster, told WITN that they decided not to appeal the judge's order sending the case to adult court.
Blount is one of four people charged with the April 1st murders of Nabil Al'mogannahi, Mokbel Almujanhi and David Alawi at the Hustle Mart, outside of Farmville. The others charged in the case, Antwan Anthony of Bethel, Willie Whitehead of Pinetops, and Xavier Shamble of Farmville could face the death penalty if convicted. Because of his age, the 14-year-old is not eligible for the death penalty.
Blount's mother, Valerie, was charged after the shooting with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
