Because of the intense heat Saturday many Pirate fans decided to stay indoors and watch the game in air conditioning and that was good news for local businesses.
Sup Dogs in downtown Greenville was packed with enthusiastic fans watching the game and buying lots of food and drinks.
Owner Bret Oliverio said, "As soon as we opened the doors it was packed."
Other businesses in the area agreed and said business was through the roof Saturday.
Pirates Den manager said, "We usually fill up all the tables, standing room only."
