Obviously, these people aren't parents or they would understand the worry a parent goes through. I don't think I read anywhere that you were sick with worry and had to take Xanax or anything. Given the facts just on this website alone, 9 out of ten of the most viewed stories are about something bad happening - 4 of which involve vehicles. One of the worst phone calls to receive is one telling you that your child has been in an accident. Don't be so quick to jump on this lady; that's not what the posting of this story was meant for.

While all of what you said is true... this is the natural backlash from people that are getting sick and tired of today's parents infantalizing today's 18-25 year olds. There is a saying that is quite common and quite true going around right now, that "18 is the new 15" and "28 is the new 21". Think about it, there is much truth in this. I work with 30 year old adults now that act like spoiled 20 year olds of yesteryear. The reason- the over-indulging, coddling parents of today may mean well, but they are handicapping their adults from becoming mature funcioning members of society.

Thank you! And as long as I'm paying the bills for his education, his living expenses and his car, any and everything he does is MY BUSINESS. He is my child and he IS my life.

wow, you people are so bloodthirsty! here no name has been released, its after 2 in the afternoon the next DAY. i'd worry too! i think its ridiculous for the news to release such a story without the full information. the only reason i would click on such a story is to see who it was. WITN knows that, but they want to be the FIRST to post it.

Every time your child doesn't return a call or text, simply reduce the amount of money you send. Problem solved.

I've seen you post on quite a few accident stories out of Greenville. You either need to tell your student to quit ignoring your texts or stop reading the news and assuming it involves your student. Otherwise the 65 in your name will be how old you look, not your birth year!

Your son is probably tired of you calling and texting him over random stuff. It sounds like he should have moved further away...

Stress is one of the factors and causes of nearly every disease. Go do some guided meditation and try and say you don't feel better.

I'm pretty sure if something happened to your son someone would get in touch with you! Get a life, your son's an adult now and doesn't need his mommy constantly checking in on him.

It was 2 girls in the car, so its safe to say your son was not involved. Sad part is, the girls were so drunk they sobered up in the hospital with no memory of the accident.
