A man is jailed on a $1 million bond after deputies say he shot a man in the foot.
Anthony Sanders is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or seriously injury after the shooting Saturday in Pitt County.
Deputies say Milton Parks was shot in the foot after an argument with Sanders. The shooting happened in the Northwest Acres area and first came in as a trespassing call.
Deputies say Sanders first fired several shots in the air with a small handgun and then shot Parks. The man said he didn't know why he was shot.
Sanders was arrested Sunday night, while Parks was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Vidant Medical Center.
