Police have charged a man with attacking another man in the parking lot of a Greenville grocery store.

Court records say Christopher Wiggins was arrested Wednesday for the January 20th attack of John Chaffee. Chaffee was cut with a sharp object in the parking lot of Harris Teeter at 14th St. and Charles Blvd. in the middle of the day.

Wiggins, who lives a block from the store, remains in jail on a $200,000 secured bond.

Police say Wiggins is no stranger to law enforcement with prior arrests for assault with a deadly weapon, common law robbery, burglary, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon, communicating threats, possession of a weapon on school property, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, disorderly conduct and larceny.
