A man in Pitt County is facing dozens of fraud charges after police say he lied to Dell about owning computer parts.

Charles Pace faces 36 counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of conspiracy. A magistrate set his bond at $1 million.

Arrest warrants say the man lied to Dell, saying he owned the parts and received new ones by using Dell's service tag numbers on the equipment. The parts actually belonged to Pitt County Schools, the University of Wisconsin, among others.

Warrants say Pace carried out the scheme from September 2007 to April 2011.
