With Mother's Day this Sunday many local florists were busy filling orders Saturday.
We stopped by Jefferson's Florist in Greenville Saturday afternoon where florists were hard at work putting together arrangements.
Julie Dietrich said, "The bulk of the business has been today, earlier today was insane. People coming in the doors constantly, lots of Dads with their children, that's really fun. They'll take them in the cooler and let them pick their flowers and then we put the arrangement together for them."
The National Retail Federation reports the average spending for Mother's Day is expected to rise 8% compared to last year, to $152 dollars.
Aside from flowers and breakfast in bed, almost 15% of people will give electronics this Mother's Day, like tablets and digital cameras.
