Dozens of community members gathered Thursday in Greenville to remember the life of a homicide victim.
The monthly victims of violence vigil in Greenville honored David Anthony Knox, known as "Tony," who was stabbed on May 12th.
Those who knew Knox said he was the nicest guy you would ever meet. Calvin Henderson is the President of the Pitt County chapter of the NAACP. Henderson says, "He just kept everybody laughing. It was quite devastating to know of his death and it touched everyone. He was such a great guy, he was a loveable person."
So far there have been no arrests in Knox's death.
The next victims of violence vigil will take place on July 5th at 7:00 p.m. at the Pitt County Courthouse.
