A drug roundup by the Pitt County Sheriff's Office on Old River Road and Highway 33 west in Pitt County has resulted in the arrest of 34 people.
The four-month investigation by the PCSO Narcotics Unit began after receiving numerous complaints of drug activity from residents of the area.
During the investigation, undercover officers made drug buys and gathered additional information in the neighborhoods along these areas. The drug buys included heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, and prescription pills.
Some of the most serious charges are against 37-year-old Wendy Lerret of Greenville. She is facing three charges of trafficking opium or heroin.
Lerret's bond was set at $1.5 million.
