Greenville Woman Dies In Weekend Accident
A Greenville woman is dead after a single car crash yesterday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol says 40-year-old Wanda Faye Godley was traveling south on Porter Road in Pitt County around 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Troopers say she was traveling too fast in a curve when her vehicle went off the road to the left, over-corrected to the right and struck a ditch.
Godley was thrown from her car in front of 1701 Porter Road and her vehicle came to rest against a utility pole. The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital.
