Torrential downpours in Greenville apparently did not deter two armed robbers.
Greenville police say two masked men, dressed in black, held up the Kangaroo Convenience Store at 700 S. Memorial Drive around 11:07 p.m. Wednesday.
The sales clerk told police both men had guns and demanded money, and one of the gunmen threatened to shoot the clerk. Police say the men took the cash and ran towards the Moyewood public housing area. Police brought a canine in to track scent of the robbers, but the trail was lost at the 1700 block of West Fifth St.
At this time, video surveillance is not available.
