An ECU student and football player is recovering after police say he was stabbed in the back at a student apartment complex.
It happened just before 1:00 a.m. Sunday at North Campus Crossing in Greenville.
Police say 19-year-old Tre' Robertson and several friends went uninvited to a party when a fight broke out.
That's when Robertson told police he tried to leave, but a man came up behind him and stabbed him.
Police say a friend drove Robertson to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Robertson described his attacker as a black man about 6'1" tall, and weighing about 280 lbs.
The man has a beard, and was last seen wearing a white tank-top T-shirt, and blue jeans.
Robertson's bio says he played offensive line at Person High School. In 2011 Robertson didn't experience any action for the Pirates, but did serve as a member of the scout team.
