If you've been watching TV over the past few weeks, more than likely you've seen ads for this year's presidential election.
In fact, new figures on ad spending from NBC/ SMG Delta show Eastern Carolina is among the top ten advertising spots for the Obama and Romney campaigns.
Most of the other places in the top ten for advertising are larger cities, but this week, the Greenville-New Bern area ranks 8th in the entire country. Greenville resident Susan Boutilier says that's because of how the 2008 election went.
"It is an area in North Carolina that went for Obama last time which is a little surprising, so I think it's an area that's in play. Typically conservative but we went for Obama so, maybe they both think they have a chance," said Boutilier.
We spoke with some ECU students who said the ads are getting a bit excessive, but they are still helpful in determining who they will vote for.
