Greenville city council has set a shorter list of goals to focus on for the next two years than what it normally does.
Every two years, members of the Greenville city council meet to discuss the city's main objectives for the upcoming term. But this year council members were faced with the challenge of narrowing their focus from the normal ten goals to six.
Councilmember Marion Blackburn says at the recommendation of their consultant, council was challenged with limiting their focus so that they could devote more time to their project plan.
Economic development, public safety, infrastructure, neighborhoods, parks and open spaces and recreational programs are the areas where council will concentrate its efforts over the next two years.
