ECU Student Charged In Multiple Greenville Break-Ins

Police have charged two people with multiple break-ins after a weeks-long investigation. Arrested were 22-year-old Takenya Neal and 20-year-old Joshua Worsley, both of Greenville.

Neal is an ECU student, majoring in Health Education and Promotion, according to the university.

Neal faces eleven counts of breaking and entering, eleven counts of larceny after breaking and entering and two counts of larceny of a firearm. Worsley is charged with sixteen counts of breaking and entering, fifteen counts of larceny after breaking and entering, two counts of larceny of a firearm, and one count of larceny by an anti-inventory device.

Greenville police detectives worked with witnesses and informants to develop the suspects in the case based on descriptions of the suspects and vehicle in multiple police reports. Worsley was arrested April 11 and jailed under a $235,000 bond. Neal was arrested on April 13 and jailed under a $100,000 bond. ECU

Many of the break-ins the suspects are accused of are along Arlington Blvd and Fire Tower Road, as well as along Memorial Drive and Cedar Creek Rd. The investigation is ongoing; police say they are looking at whether Worsley and Neal may be responsible for other crimes.

According to online records, Worsley remains in jail while Neal has posted bond.
