A Greenville man was arrested Tuesday after robbing a man at knife-point last week.
Greenville Police said they responded to Vidant Medical Center early last Friday for the report of an armed robbery in the 100 block of Mumford Road. The victim reported that he was visiting a friend when a man he knew as Rodney assaulted him at knife-pointed and took approximately $50 and a gold colored chain.
Detectives identified the suspect as 45-year-old Rodney Evans of Greenville. He was located and arrested on Tuesday at a home on Belvoir Road in Pitt County.
Evans is charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of communicating a threat. He is jailed under a $100,000 secure bond.
The victim told police that he knew Rodney from a recent construction job they worked on together in Rocky Mount.
