Dozens of Greenville residents brainstormed Monday with designers of the new parking garage planned for uptown.
Greenville city officials gave a short presentation at the Sheppard Memorial Library, and then allowed the public to talk directly with members of the design an build teams.
Officials say they want to hear input on architecture, landscaping, and public art. Security and lighting were other areas of interest. The 3 story deck with 180 parking spots will be one of the largest structures in the uptown area and residents we spoke with say they're glad to have the chance to share their ideas.
Work on the parking deck is scheduled to begin in march, and is expected to be complete in the fall of 2014 at the corner of 4th and Cotanche Streets.
