Greenville Police Chief Hassan Aden will present his department's strategic plan for 2014-2016 at Monday night's Greenville City Council meeting.
According to the plan published in the meeting's agenda, the police department has set six goals for the next three years. The six goals are leadership and ethics; optimizing organizational structure; crime reduction; traffic safety; community engagement; and technology/equipment needs.
In the area of crime reduction, Greenville police aim to reduce crime by 3 percent by the end of 2014. For traffic safety, the department wants to reduce traffic crashes by 10 percent by December 2016.
