NEW INFO: Greenville Police Investigating Armed Robbery At Family Dollar


A Family Dollar store in Greenville was robbed Sunday night by a masked gunman.

Greenville police say it happened around 8:10 p.m. at the Family Dollar at 625 South Memorial Drive.

Police say one person walked into the store with a handgun and forced the clerk to open the safe. The gunman then took off with an unknown amount of cash.

The man is described as a black man, 5'7" tall with a slim build, wearing dark clothing and a red bandana over his face.

No one was injured in the robbery.
