NEW INFO: Police Investigating Armed Robbery Across From ECU

Greenville police are investigating an armed robbery just across the street from ECU’s campus.

An alert was issued by ECU Wednesday night saying that around 10:45 pm, a PCC student and two ECU students reported that they were robbed. It happened at the drive-up ATM at the Wells Fargo on 10th street near Founders drive.

A police report lists the victims as Caleb Harrold, 20, of Greenville, Daniel O'Donnell, 22, also of Greenville, and Brandon Twigg, 19, of Asheville.

O'Donnell says his roommate had a knife held to his throat. He says the robbers only made off with $4 after they were told to empty out their wallets.

The alert describes the suspects as two black males, one wearing a green hoodie, the other a dark blue or black shirt. One was reportedly armed with a knife.

Both were seen running away, heading west on 10th Street. The victims were not injured.

Greenville police are investigating the case. If you have any information you’re encouraged to contact them at 252-329-4315.
