A suspected drug trafficker in the east is behind bars under a $1 million bond.
Kenrick Battle, 24, of Princeville in Edgecombe County was arrested Tuesday by a special task force of the Greenville Police Department, according to officials at the Pitt County Detention Center.
Battle is charged with fleeing to elude arrest, trafficking heroin or opium, and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was scheduled for a first appearance in court Wednesday morning.
